The 61-63 Summer Street Re-Use Committee will provide the Select Board with possible ways to re-use the building.

By-law Committee
The By-law Committee is charged with reviewing the town’s bylaws and bringing any changes to Town Meeting for approval.

Community Preservation Committee
The Community Preservation Committee is charged with studying the needs, possibilities and resources of Maynard regarding community preservation. Its members are representatives from other Maynard town boards or residents of the town.

Council on Aging
It is the mission of the Maynard Council on Aging to promote and support healthy aging for the town’s senior citizens.

Cultural Council
The Maynard Cultural Council serves as the local representative of the Massachusetts Cultural Council for the purpose of supporting arts and humanities initiatives in Maynard by granting funds allocated to the town by the Commonwealth.

Economic Development Committee
The purpose of the Town of Maynard Economic Development Committee is to advise the Town Administrator on matters related to economic development.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee (FinCom) is a seven-member committee appointed by the Town Moderator and serves Town Meeting voters—in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (Chapter 39, Section 16) and Maynard’s Town Charter and By-laws.

Green Communities Committee
The Green Communities Committee assists the Select Board and Town Administrator in developing programs and projects to foster energy conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy generation and sustainability planning.

Historical Commission
The Maynard Historical Commission’s mission is to preserve, protect and develop the historic and archaeological assets of the community; ensure that the goals of historic preservation are considered in the planning and future development of the community.

Hometown Heroes Committee
Creating a Hometown Heroes banner program in Maynard to honor and raise awareness about Maynard’s Veterans and those Veterans who have made the greatest sacrifice.

Housing Authority
The Maynard Housing Authority is responsible for the management of 112 units of State Chapter 667 housing, 32 units of Federal family housing, and 30 Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP) tenant-based vouchers.

Human Relations Committee
The Maynard Human Relations Committee works to promote human rights, personal dignity and positive relations between all residents and visitors to the Town of Maynard.

Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board of Trustees oversees the operation and funding of the Maynard Public Library, located on Nason Street.

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Town of Maynard has an active LEPC that meets monthly to coordinate various departments with integral roles in our response to an emergency.

Master Plan Implementation Committee
The Master Plan Implementation Committee (MPIC) is an advisory body which monitors and supports Town Departments and Committees to carry out the recommendations set forth in the Maynard Master Plan.

Master Plan Steering Committee
The Select Board appointed an 11 member Master Plan Steering Committee (MPSC) for a two-year term beginning in December of 2017.

Parking Authority
Maynard’s Parking Authority works to create, document and implement clear and consistent parking policies; review all proposed parking-related ordinances and applications; hear and address citizen concerns; and promote the availability of parking to support robust economic activity in the Town of Maynard.
