Ice House Landing is a public park and kayak launch on the Assabet River. The launch is open to the public for use to bring your own kayaks or use the kayaks available for rent.
The launch is called an EZ kayak launch and can be tricky if you have never used one. Please see this video for further instruction.

Kayak Rental Station
8 sit on-top kayaks, paddles and life jackets are available to rent at $25 for 2 hours and 60% of profits will go back to the Maynard Conservation Fund.

Tips for a successful kayaking experience:
1.Always check the app to see how many kayaks are available. This is first come, first serve.
2. Ensure you lock the door before setting off on your rental. When you arrive back, use your app to unlock the locker, put the kayak back and close the locker door until you feel it lock. (You may have to really slam it shut) Once the kayak is locked and secured, then end the rental on the app.
3. Bring a towel! You may be on a sit on-top but these kayaks are exposed to the elements and may be a bit wet.
4. Ice House Landing does not have bathrooms or changing facilities. Please come prepared and do not lock any valuables in the kayak locker.
5. Please carry in and out all trash from the area.
