Our next Annual Town Election takes place on: Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.

Polling Location & Time
There is one polling location for all precincts in Town: Fowler School – 3 Tiger Drive.
Polls are open from: 7 am to 8 pm.
Important Election Deadlines
- Deadline to register to vote: 5 pm - Friday, April 21st, 2023
- Deadline to submit a Vote by Mail application: 5 pm - Tuesday, April 25th, 2023
- Deadline to vote in person at the Town Clerk's office: 12 pm (Noon) - Monday, May 1st, 2023
Vote by Mail/Absentee Ballot Application
Applications for Vote by Mail must be in the Town Clerk's Office by Tuesday, April 25th, 2023. For a Vote by Mail application, click here. Absentee Ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s office for the local Town Election on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.
Testing of Voting Equipment
The test for the ballot tabulating equipment for the upcoming Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, April 25th at 9:00 am. There has been no change in type of voting equipment used by the Town of Maynard since the last election.
Testing will be held in Town Hall located at:

Any registered Maynard voter shall be eligible to hold any elective town office.

Nomination Papers
- Nomination papers for the listed town offices will be available: Monday, January 23rd, 2023.
- Last Day to obtain nomination papers: Friday, March 10th, 2023.
- Last Day to file nomination papers at Town Clerk’s Office: Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.
- The required number of signatures for candidates is set at 1% of the total number of voters in the Town of Maynard in the last race for Governor. The total number of voters in the 2022 Governor’s Race in Maynard was 5,158. MGL Ch 53, §6 states the number of signatures required cannot be less than 20 and no more than 50.
