Meeting Opening

The meetings will be conducted with decorum. This means that the members of the Commission and the public are required to respect each other at all times. We may not always agree with one-another, but we can work to resolve differences with patience and understanding. As a member of the public, you are encouraged to participate in the meeting. To ensure the meeting proceeds in an orderly manner, please follow these procedures

Request for Determination of Applicability - 3 Wood Lane

The Commission will hear a Request for  Determination of Applicability under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Maynard Wetlands Administration Bylaw filed by Keith Blaszak of 3 Wood Lane Maynard, MA 01754 for the installation of a natural gas pipe in the existing paved roadway and front yard within the 100 foot buffer zone at his residence. See attached application for location photos and map.


Notice of Intent - 2 POWDER MILL RD

This is a continuation from April 13, 2023. The Commission will discuss the NOI filed by Adam Stack of 26 Rice Rd Wayland, MA 01778 who proposed a mixed-use development located on the following properties: 2 Waltham St, 2 Powder Mill Rd and 6 Powder Mill Rd Maynard, MA 01754. This work is within the 200 ft Riverfront Area, as well as the 50 ft buffer zone of the Wetland Resource Area. The Commission requested a peer review which was partially completed at the time of the last meeting. The Commission will discuss the final peer review comments attached.


Emergency Certification - Ratification

Agent asks the Commission to ratify the emergency certification for the removal of the dam at 18 winter street. The dam was successfully removed without causing harm to surrounding habitat and prevented flooding at the DPW yard.
