Agent Updates

A. Agent has two new High School Senior Interns: Kayla DeCapua and Will Fallon. They both will be helping out on permitting, filing and site visits. Will is also doing his senior project with us and is focused on beaver mitigation along the Assabet. He will assessing the damage around Ice House Landing area and putting a sand/paint mixture on 10 -25 trees. The goal is to deter beavers from taking down significant portions of our canopy along the river.

B. Earth Day celebration sponsored by Green Maynard has invited to have a booth on April 21. Agent will attend and hopes other Commissioners can join. What materials would we like to see for this event. Interns can help make those.

4.I.

Kayak Rental Services

Discuss kayak rental stations for Ice House Landing. Attached are images of the Agent's idea. Quotes have been requested but based on research, there are different types of companies, some where we can buy the station and equipment and others where we can rent the station and equipment (think bike shares).
